Tasty Carrot Aval Combo Halwa - Nutritious Sweet Recipes - Easy to make Diwali Sweet Recipes

Carrot aval halwa is one of the famous healthy kids recipes which will be loved by the kids and also people of all ages. The combination of carrot and aval blended with ghee tastes yummy and has got good calorific value. Try this healthy sweet recipe and enjoy.

Ingredients for making Carrot Aval Halwa

Grated Carrot - 1 cup
Aval/Poha - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Cashewnut - 15 nos.
Dried grapes - 5 nos.
Sugar - 3 cups
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp.

Method for making Carrot Aval Halwa

1. Soak 10 cashews in water for 30 minutes and grind to a fine paste.

2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottommed vessel and saute the carrots till the watery consistency disappears.

3. Add milk to the carrot and cook this in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle.

4. Roast the aval in ghee and powder this in a mixie.

5. Now to the cooked carrots add the powdered aval, cashew paste and mix well.

6. Add the sugar, ghee, cardamom powder, roasted cashews, grapes and cook in a low flame till the contents leave the sides.

Carrot Aval Halwa is ready to be served.
