Pottukadalai chutney is one of the easy to make diet recipes suitable for people who want to avoid coconut. This is easy to make and is an excellent side dish for idli, dosa and Pongal.
Ingredients for making Pottukadalai chutney
Fried gram - 1/2 cup
Red Chilli- 4
Garlic pods - 2
Ginger - small piece (optional)
salt as needed
Oil as needed
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp.
Urad dhal - 1tsp.
A sprig of curry leaves
Coriander leaves - few
Method for making Roasted Gram chutney
1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the red chilli, garlic pods in a low flame.
2. Add this to a mixer along with the roasted gram and grind.
3. Add required water and add the seasonings.
Garnish with Coriander leaves.
Now the roasted gram chutney is ready.
