Green Moong dhal Sundal - Pachaipayiru Sundal for Kollu - Navarathri Festival Recipe

Green Moong dal Sundal is one of the tasty and healthy Sundal Varieties which is served for the guests during Navarathri Kollu. This can also be served as a evening snack. Try this and enjoy with your family.

Ingredients for making Green Moong dal Sundal
Green Moong dal - 1 Cup
Salt - to Taste
Grated Cocunut - 1 teaspoon
Grated Raw Mango - 1/2 cup

For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp.
Urad dhal - 1 tsp.
Red Chilli - 1
A sprig of Curry leaves
A pinch of Asafoetida

Method for making Green Moong dal Sundal

1. Wash the green gram dhal and soak in water for 4 hours. Pressure cook the soaked dhal with water for 3 whistles.

2. Heat oil in a pan, splutter the mustard seeds, add urad dal, red chilli
and fry till it becomes brown. Next add the curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida.

3. To the above mixture add the cooked Green Moong dal and mix well.

4. Now add the grated cocunut and mango and saute well.

Now the tasty healthy Green Moong dal sundal is ready for Navrathri Kollu.
