Chettinad Special Paruppu Thogayal - Paruppu Thuvaiyal Recipe for Rice, Idli and Dosa

Paruppu thuvayal is one of the traditional dish of the Chettinad people. This is a healthy Chettinad thuvayal which is made of moong dal and garlic which will cool the body temperature. Paruppu thuvayal can be easily digested and so can be served to all ages and also for diseased people.

Ingredients for making Chettinad Special Paruppu Thuvayal

Moong dhal -1/2 cup
Grated coconut- 3 tbsp
Red chillies-2
Garlic-4

Procedure for Chettinad Special Paruppu Thuvayal

Take oil in a kadai and fry the red chillies, next add the moong dhal fry till this turns golden brown in
color.Now tranfer this in a mixer add the grated coconut, salt and garlic and grind well to a smooth paste.
Paruppu Thuvayal is ready and can be served with hot rice, idli and dosa.
