Badam Carrot Combo Payasam / Almond Carrot Kheer - Festival Recipes

Badam Kheer


Ingredients to make Almond Carrot Kheer

Milk- 1 litre

Almonds- 35 nos.

Carrot- 1 big

Sugar- 10-12 tsps

Cashewnuts - 10 nos
.
Dried grapes - 10 nos.

Ghee - 1 tbsp.

Cardamom powdered-1/2 tsp.

Saffron strands- Optional

Procedure for making  Badam Carrot Combo Payasam

1. Soak the almonds in hot water overnight or for about an hour so that it will be easy to peel  the skin of almonds. After peeling grind the almonds to a smooth paste.

2. Wash and Peel the carrot and steam cook. Then grind this in a mixie to a smooth paste.

3. Take a heavy bottomed vessel, add both the almond and carrot paste stir well with 1 cup of milk.

4. Now add the remaining milk mix well with sugar and cook this in a low to medium flame for 5 to 10 minutes till you get a thick consistency.

5. Roast the cashews and dried grapes to the above mix.

6. Add the powdered cardamom and saffron and store this in a refrigerator.
